Membership FAQ

To best serve all of our guests with the most economical and convenient avenue of tanning, tanworld is excited to offer our Easy Pay Membership Program.

What is an Easy Pay Membership?
tanworld’s Easy Pay Membership Program offers the best value and most hassle free way to tan. You will need to have an active credit card, debit card or checking/savings account from which your monthly cost is automatically deducted each month.

How do I start an Easy Pay Membership?
Stop in any tanworld location and one of our certified tanologist will make a recommendation for your customized tanning program. Based on your personal tanning goals, our tanologists will explain the best program for you! You will then be instructed to fill out the appropriate paperwork including your credit card or checking/savings account information. Sign up will take just a few minutes and then you will be ready to tan at your leisure.

What if I do not have a credit card or checking/savings account?
tanworld does offer other options for you. If you do not have a credit card or a checking/savings account you may choose to become a Choice Pay Member.

What is a Choice Pay Membership?
This Membership Program is designed for guests who do not have a credit card or checking/savings account for an automatic monthly deduction. As a Choice Pay member you are able to purchase tanning for all levels of tanning equipment. Without the monthly commitment or automatic deduction the Choice Pay Membership is priced slightly higher. How much am I paying per tan with an Easy Pay Membership?
Members can tan for as low as $0.66 a day with a Comfort Easy Pay Membership.

How do the commitment terms work?
With each Easy Pay Membership there are corresponding commitment fees. The choice is yours with 12 month, 6 month or no commitment fees. You decide which option works best for you and your tanning goals. See you local salon for details.

Can I cancel my Membership early?
No problem! A guest may cancel their Membership prior to the fulfillment of their commitment term upon paying a cancellation fee. Stop in to the salon and complete the proper paperwork to cancel your Membership until you are ready to return. See your local salon for details.

Can I cancel my Membership without paying a fee?
No problem! Members may Freeze their Membership at any time. If you know you are unable to use your Membership for an extended period of time, stop in and complete the proper paperwork to freeze your Membership until you are ready to return. Some fees may apply. See your local salon for details.

Can I upgrade from an Easy Pay Membership?
No problem! If a Member wishes to upgrade their Membership they simply stop in and complete a short form authorizing tanworld to adjust the monthly deduction. Packages are also available to use for the purpose of upgrading to other levels of equipment.

How often can I tan with an Easy Pay Membership?
Some states regulate how often guests can tan. At tanworld we believe in tanning smart. When state regulations are in place they must be followed. Even when there are no state regulations it is tanworld policy that a guest must wait at least 24 hours in between tans. 24 hours is the minimum amount of time required for your skin to process UV exposure. Although you may feel ready for another escape, your skin may be incapable of absorbing the UV you are exposed to. Therefore guests are required to wait at least 24 hours at any tanworld.

How do point packages work?
Point packages available at tanworld serve two purposes:

  1. You may purchase points for the purpose of upgrading to other levels of tanning equipment. This is commonly used by guests who have a Membership.
  2. You may purchase points rather than signing up for a Membership. Different pieces of tanning equipment have assigned increments of points that are deducted from your points package each time you tan.

If you have an Easy Pay Membership at tanworld, all points are automatically doubled when you purchase them. For example, if you purchase 100 points and you have a Membership at tanworld we will double your purchase to 200 points for the same price!
