1. How do I open a tanworld franchise?
tanworld awards franchises only to the highest qualified individuals. 2. How much money do I need to open a tanworld?
Interested individuals should have roughly $80,000 in non-borrowed personal resources (liquid assets, e.g. cash, marketable securities, stocks, etc.). The bulk of the financing is to be secured through third party lending sources. Total cost of tanworld franchise varies by salon depending on any variety of factors including but not limited to size, location, build out expenses and equipment mix.

3. How much is the franchise fee and royalties?
We base your royalties on a set percentage of your gross revenue less sales tax. It is tanworld’s philosophy that this will further encourage us to do everything in our power in increase your revenues. When royalties are based on a percentage, our success is mutually dependable on your success. Our franchise fee is competitive with other franchise concepts and is set on a sliding scale, so the more locations you open the less your franchise fee becomes. 4. What are the average annual sales of a tanworld store?
The Federal Trade Commission prohibits a franchisor from discussing sales numbers with a potential franchisee. As you progress through the franchise process, you will be provided with contact information for our existing franchisees that may or may not choose to share their salon revenue numbers with you. Most franchisees are willing to share this information with a serious applicant.

5. How much revenue can I expect to make as a tanworld franchisee?
Projected revenue is another number the FTC does not allow us to discuss with you. Much like annual sales, we will provide you with contact information for our existing franchisees and encourage you to discuss with them any questions you may have. Many have been very open with serious candidates in the past.

6. Does tanworld offer financing?
tanworld does not finance franchises. We can put you in contact with third party lending sources, assist with securing SBA loans and have partnered with vendors who offer financing on specific expenses of a new salon.

7. How do I pick out a location for my tanworld?
If you have a market in mind or are open to suggestions, you will want to speak with one of our Franchise Development representatives. They will be able to direct you to a viable market. They will also assist in the search for a location within that market, help negotiate a favorable lease for you and oversee the construction of your salon. 

8. How long does it take to open a tanworld?
The entire process can take up to 6-8 months. The time frame can vary greatly depending on individual circumstances.

9. What kind of training is offered to tanworld franchisees?
Our training program for new franchisees is extensive. We want to be sure each new franchisee will be fully prepared to run every aspect of their salon. Franchisees are required to attend two full weeks of training prior to opening their salon and a corporate staff member will be on site the first week of opening. Additional training opportunities are available throughout the year.
